5 Facts You Didn’t Know About Irish Whiskey 🥃
For years I’ve been telling people about The Irish Whiskey Museum Tour and how good it is and people have been saying, ‘Oh, you mean the Jameson tour?’
Now, I’ve done all the branded tours, don’t get me wrong. I did the Jameson tour, the Guinness Storehouse tour… I even went to Gin school. But this whiskey tour in my opinion, is the single best one in the country; The Irish Whiskey Museum. It is a totally independent tour, free from brands just about the history of whiskey in Ireland (which, by the way, is surprisingly dark!)
The tour is educational, it’s interesting, it’s immersive. Pictures on the wall talk to you, the tour guide brings you to different sets which illustrate the time period being discussed, and if you choose the ‘Blending Experience’ tour, you get to finish off by mixing your own whiskey blend and taking it home with you.
Obviously, I don’t want to give the whole tour away, but I’m going to share with you five super interesting facts about Irish whiskey that I learned on the ‘Blending Experience’ tour.
